1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 - Muscle Car For Sale (Click Here)

Description:

Need a cool Chevelle for showing & cruising? One with clean paint, an awesome shine and more? Oh, and by "more" you mean a big block, a four speed, working A/C and a rotisserie restoration? Here's your new ride: A beautiful Cortez Silver over black thumper with a sweet 396 under the hood and a Flowmaster soundtrack. "More" enough for you?

There’s no way to document a true ’69 SS without the build sheet, which unfortunately did not come with the car. There IS an "L" on the trim tag, which has been shown (so far) within Chevelle circles to mean SS, but there is still no conclusive proof. In other words, Chevy’s most valuable and desirable muscle cars ride solely on their often lost or never included build sheets. What we do have is a Muncie transmission underneath, a 12 bolt rear out back and a CTB ’72 396 engine with a cast iron, oval port intake, a restored Q-jet carb and correct exhaust manifolds. Correct hoses route coolant while correct battery cables transfer power from the R59-topped modern Delco battery. New chrome valve covers and a new chrome air cleaner sit atop a freshly painted orange motor for a factory fresh look. There are new brake components in here too, and the wiring from the harnesses to the battery cables are proper reproductions. Check out that A/C system—more than $2400 was spent getting it back to OE specs. Muscle cars may look cool but you might as well BE cool at the same time!

Pop under the car to view the restored undercarriage. The floor pans are clean and they present themselves well, but they're not so nice that you can't enjoy the car. Brake and suspension components such as fuel lines, a new tank, new brake hoses, lines, rotors and drums, bushings and steering components are all new. There are parts stickers on the suspension, axle, brake parts and more. A new exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and new reproduction tips are perfect for looking for trouble. Brand new five spoke Magnum 500 road wheels with new trim rings and center caps wear new B F Goodrich 235/60/14 tires to finish off an excellent chassis!

The black bucket seat interior is factory fresh with all new seat covers, new door panels, a new headliner, dash pad, carpet, window cranks, door handles, armrests, visors and trim—this is a top notch interior! The gauges (including the proper 5500RPM redline tach) and lights all work as they should and the
Hurst shifter feels right in your hand. Crank up the air, throw it in gear and go!

New Cortez silver paint covers the straight body work. New bumpers shine up the front and rear, a new grille and headlight bezel set are up the front, new reveal, wheel lip and drip rail moldings add sparkle to the sides and balance out the black stripes. All of the chrome from the marker lights to the emblems to the taillights is new. The black vinyl top is the final piece needed to add a ton of class to an already stunning car!

New splatter paint over clean sheet metal describes the trunk. There’s a new trunk mat, a brand new Magnum 500 spare wheel and tire setup and the jack. Throw a couple of your car show chairs or a weeks' worth of clothes in here without thinking about it!

To recap, this is a nicely detailed car with an "L" code on the trim tag, a big block engine and four speed transmission, proper SS gear from nose to tail and a gorgeous color combination. If you were waiting for an awesome SS in a very cool color, this is it. If you’re looking for a completely rebuilt, four speed Chevelle, with working A/C, one that's not so nice you're afraid to breathe on it, your ride awaits!
