1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitian Sports Sedan

Description:

I purchased this 1949 Lincoln from South Dakota in 2004 and imported it to Australia to be used in conjunction with a Salvador Dali art exhibit.

It was bought new in New Jersey and handed down to the owner's son, with 64,000 original miles. The son restored the car in 1995. I purchased this car directly from the son, along with the original paperwork from where is was purchased, a 400 page workshop manual and all receipts for the restoration work. There are also photos of the restoration work, a custom made Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories car cover, etc.

I have garaged this car and started it and driven it on a regular basis.

This car is probably one of the nicest examples of a 1949 long wheelbase (125 inch) sports sedan Lincoln Cosmopolitan in Australia.

This model is referred to as a 9EH. It has five new Remington Cushion Aire L 78-50 four ply white wall tyres.

Great cruiser; great collectible; great museum piece.
