The 1969 Porsche 911 was a significant year in the history of Porsche. In 1969 the Porsche 911 was lengthened to was is known as the LWB, and the E and S models also were fitted with the MFI (Mechanical Fuel Injection). With these two upgrades alone, the 1969 911 also had a variety of features that were unique such as the dashboard. The 2.0 models in the LWB were only made for a very short period of time before the 2.2 litre models replaced them. As a result any 2.0 MFI LWB car in either an S or an E are extremely rare and desireable. They also fit into a wonderful category for Group S racing in Australia as they qualify for Sb rather than Sc, meaning the car is very competitive in its category and class.
This Irish Green Porsche 911 for sale spent all its life in California, and was imported in 2007 by Porsche Classics to Australia. The 1969 Porsche 911 E 2.0 Litre had a fully documented 44,000 original miles, and had also been sympathetically repainted by the previous owner at a cost of over $12,000. The remains very original, and fitted with Deep 6 Fuchs, as well as tinted windows (factory optioned), comfort seats, and over rider delete on the front. The Porsche 911 for sale drives beautifully and is a wonderful and rare example in a very sought after colour. Minor cosmetic replacement parts could be fitted to the car to bring the car up to concours, however given the car's originality this could be scorned upon by some purists.
