Downs Manufacturing makes some of the best fiberglass bodies in the business, and they'll sell you just about any combination of parts you can think of to get just the car you want. They started with the standard '37 roadster shell, added in their upgraded chassis with a Currie Enterprises-built Ford 9” rear and a TCI independent front suspension with polished front end parts and chromed springs. They added power windows to the standard-opening doors, the trick tilt forward hood setup, convertible top mechanism with stainless rods and oak bows, front and rear fenders, a billet aluminum grille, tri-bar headlights and more. Billet Specialties SLX-35 wheels, 17x7 front and 20x8.5 rear, wearing 215/45 and 245/40 BFGoodrich Gforce T/A tires, respectively, anchor all four corners in style. Greene and crew smoothed the body and shot the color before putting it all together, and they did an excellent job. Falling for orange yet?

The upgraded frame with TCI components hosts an adjustable coil over suspension at all four corners, an independent front suspension up front and the Currie-built 9” with 3.70 gears hung on a four link out back. There are disc brakes in the front and drums out back, run by a power booster at all four corners. Rack and pinion steering with power assist is up front and a Rossler-built 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission is in the tunnel. New stainless fuel lines run from the Tanks, Inc. stainless steel tank out back to the motor while more stainless lines carry brake fluid. Shorty headers feed the polished stainless 2.5” dual exhaust system with Borla mufflers and fat stainless tips to give off a great sound.
