Description:
Fresh rotisserie-restored with original parts and completely numbers-matching. This big-block 1968 Mustang GT Fastback offered here is identical, in all, but its color scheme to the original "Bullitt" movie car. Complete with Ford documentation and the factory 390ci/325 horsepower special GT V-8, 4-speed and special-order 3.00:1 12-bolt rear end.
In addition to the rare factory GT Package, the car also features the Convenience Group Package, Visibility Group and Interior Décor Group including power steering, front disc brakes, fold-down rear seat, AM radio, block heater, tinted glass, 14" X 7" argent sprayed wheels, F70x14" RWL wide Poly-Glas ovals and dual exhausts. The car is finished in a correct single-stage factory Acapulco Blue (D-Code) hue over a deluxe, two-tone blue interior and all cosmetics are new and correct down to the factory-correct Comfort Weave bucket seats with optional headrests.
This is the only Mustang produced in 1968 with this combination of options. As further documentation of its comprehensive correctness, the Mustang sports all factory date codes, belts, hoses, tags, decals, paint markings, and stampings.
Not only does the comprehensive restoration of this 1968 GT Fastback exemplify award-winning correctness, its 47,500 miles on the odometer are original. Ready to show or drive and with multiple Concours awards already under its belt, there are few similar examples of such a high-quality Mustang anywhere on the market today.
In perfect driving condition, the vehicle comes documented with the factory window sticker, Ford letter of authenticity, and an Elite Marti Report.
2008 Mustang Club of America "Concours Gold Card Award" Winner.
