Description:
Stunning example of a 1967 ( registered as a 1968 ) – Jaguar 340 with all the factory MK2 upgrades - full leather interior with all wood trim, and fog lights. 4Spd & O.D. Complete restoration ( over $50,000 in receipts ). It has less than 4000 miles since restoration. One of the best looking 340's in the country. The paint is superb - not a scratch or chip on the whole body! Absolutely rust-free. The interior is excellent – Headliner is perfect. The previous owner ( an active member of the JCNA, and an avid Jaguar enthusiast) had a complete professional restoration done from about 2001 – 2003. I have every single receipt he carefully documented in 2 large notebooks. I also have a full notebook with correspondences between the original owner and the previous owner discussing it’s history. I’ve owned it for 3 years. Of course it has always been garage kept and never driven in the rain.
Last year I had the transmission professionally rebuilt, with new everything including clutch, syncros, bearings, mounts etc. Runs a drives very nice – can cruise at 70 mph plus - smooth - no vibrations. Runs and drives as good as it looks. The sale includes a full set of cocoa mats, a genuine green service manual, a wire-wheel knock off tool, and a painted set of Coombs spats.
All gauges, switches, and lights work fine. Original AM/FM radio does not work. And the heat was never hooked up, as the car has never been driven in cold weather. There were only 535 Left-hand drive models ever made of these. This one of the finest.
