For your consideration is this classic muscle car for sale - 2 owner Ground-Up restored 1969 Pontiac Firebird. This Pontiac was built the 3rd week of October 1968 (10C). This Firebird has her original Protecto-Plate, Owner's Manual and is PHS certified. She has her all matching #'s 350 CID engine mated to a 350 Turbo-hydramatic automatic transmission with a Hurst Ratchet shifter. Her exterior was restored utilizing all her original sheet metal & is finished in Matador Red mixed with just a splash of Black Pearl for pop all wrapped around her completely Brand new Parchment interior. Her restoration has been documented with photographs from the day she was purchased. This mild Resto-Mod has her framed tied together with Hotchkiss sub-frame connectors and new sway bars front and rear making her nimble through the turns. With her Third Generation Power Steering box she steers and performs better than she ever did when new. She rolls down the road on BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on American Racing Wheels. A folder full of receipts represents Thousands of dollars $$$$$ spent in order to insure that this Bird would fly high once again. The Power Braking is firm and straight and this Pontiac comes to a complete stop without any shaking or drama. What a beauty. In 1978, I owned a '69 Bird. I lived in Northbrook, ILL. at the time (1977-1981). The car was a visual stunner, had the GTO-style 400 hood, but had a lot of bondo, especially aft of the rear wheels. It also had a rear axle which was cock-eyed. Oh well, wish I kept that one and restored it!! It had the base 350-2v, 2-speed Powerglide tranny, very slow accelerating but would top out at 140mph (I know, I ran it there!).
